News & Events:

January 30th: The Branch AGM and as always members are encouraged to attend and use their chance to have a say in how their local branch of the club is run. Suggestions ofr the year's events are needed please. Note that this is a Monday and will be in the dining room of the Bold Forester from about 7:30 p.m.

Hampshire Branch Christmas Dinner 16th December at The Old Forge Inn, Shedfield was bigger and better than ever. This year 45 attended and all seemed to enjoy a traditional seasonal 3 course meal. Increased numbers were encouraged perhaps by the reduced price compared with year. Special thanks goes to Alison who organised booking and food ordering efficiently, and came up with the idea of the guess who is in the old photo quiz. Thanks also to all who looked out a photo to make a paper based quiz which at the same time involved close attention to those around the table. Well done to Andy and Debs for top scoring with 14 out of 22, and it really was a coincidence that they were sitting next to Alison on the night. Roy & Christine's guess the object in the bag activity was a lot of fun as well. Roy & daughter Julie prepared the calendar presented so many thanks to the Longman's. A reminder for attendees that for next year's calendar photo contributions from others will be much appreciated. And last but not least thank you to all who attended making it a memorable evening.

A brief introduction to the Branch:- we meet (on the first and third Thursdays of the month) at The Bold Forester, Soberton Heath (3 miles North of Wickham, near the A32, and 4 miles from the M27, J10). There are 60+ members at present and turnout of late is usually well over 20. People come from many miles around, with a real mix of age and experience. We are a friendly bunch, with a range of interests, not just anorak bike obsessives. Relive old times but more than that get together for some new ones to remember. Source or sell spares and seek or impart specialist information. And as an added bonus the Gold Star Owners Club meet at the same place same time.
